The Aramaic Watchers: As a joke I thought I would use the marvel comics "The Watcher" character as the cover of my newsletter.

Watcher (Aramaic, p. עִירִין, iyrin, s. עִיר, iyr; Theodotian trans: ir, from the v.
ur, "to watch"; Heb. er, "being watchful"; Gk. ἐγρήγοροι, trans: egrḗgoroi; Slav. Grigori, "Watchers", "those who are awake"); Chaldean. "Guard", "Watcher"[3] is a term used in connection with angels. Watcher occurs in both plural and singular forms in the Book of Daniel, where reference is made of being holy. In Apocrypha, the Books of Enoch refer to both good and bad Watchers, with a primary focus on the rebellious ones. In Daniel 4:13, 17, 23 there are three references made to the class of "watcher, holy one" (watcher, Aramaic `iyr, holy one Aramaic qaddiysh). The term is introduced by Nebuchadnezzar who describes how he saw "a watcher, a holy one come down (singular verb) from heaven." The singular verb indicates that "a watcher, a holy one" are two titles for the same being or class of being. Nebuchadnezzar then describes how in his dream the watcher says that Nebuchadnezzar will eat grass and be mad and that this punishment is "by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones" in order that "the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men." After hearing the king's dream Daniel considers for an hour and then responds:

Daniel 4:23, "And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him"

[This verse illustrates the problem with modern translations. The NIV says the king saw a "messenger." The KJV is 400 years old and yet-more accurate to the text than most modern versions. Another problem is "gender neutral" translations-where the Aramaic term "Bar-nasha," meaning "Son of Man" is not properly translated since it is a "sexist" term. So people can no longer know what the Bible says due to political correctness.]

Lutheran Protestant reformer Johann Wigand viewed the watcher in Nebuchadnezzar's dream as either God himself, or the Son of God. He promoted Trinitarian thinking by comparing Dan.4:17: This matter is by the decree of the watchers and tying it to Dan.4:23: this is the decree of the Most High.

Secular scholars view these "watchers, holy ones" as a depiction of Babylonian religion, that is an attempt by the author of this section of Daniel to present Nebuchadnezzar's Babylonian gods recognising the power of the God of Israel as "Most High." The version of this dream and its interpretation differs from the Aramaic of the Massoretic Text to the Greek of the Septuagint. For example in the Aramaic text it is ambiguous who is telling the story of verse 14, whether it is Nebuchadnezzar himself, or the watcher in his dream

In the Aramaic Book of Enoch, the Watchers (Aramaic. עִירִין, iyrin), are angels dispatched to Earth to watch over the humans. They soon begin to lust for human women, and at the prodding of their leader Samyaza, they defect en masse to illicitly instruct and procreate among humanity. The offspring of these unions are the Nephilim, savage giants who pillage the earth and endanger humanity. Samyaza and associates further taught their human charges arts and technologies such as weaponry, cosmetics, mirrors, sorcery, and other techniques that would otherwise be discovered gradually over time by humans, not foisted upon them all at once. Eventually God allows a Great Flood to rid the earth of the Nephilim, but first sends Uriel to warn Noah so as not to eradicate the human race. While Genesis says that the Nephilim remained "on the earth" even after the Great Flood, Jude says that the Watchers themselves are bound "in the valleys of the Earth" until Judgment Day. (See Genesis 6:4 and Jude 1:6, respectively)

The chiefs of tens, listed in the Book of Enoch, are as follows:

"

7. And these are the names of their leaders: Sêmîazâz, their leader, Arâkîba, Râmêêl, Kôkabîêl, Tâmîêl, Râmîêl, Dânêl, Êzêqêêl, Barâqîjâl, Asâêl, Armârôs, Batârêl, Anânêl, Zaqîêl, Samsâpêêl, Satarêl, Tûrêl, Jômjâêl, Sariêl. 8. These are their chiefs of tens." - R. H. Charles translation, Enoch, The Book of the Watchers, Chapter VI.

"

The book of Enoch also lists leaders of the 200 fallen angels who married and commenced in unnatural union with human women, and who taught forbidden knowledge. Some are also listed in Book of Raziel (Sefer Raziel HaMalakh), the Zohar, and Jubilees.

"Pussy Riot" violates Freedom of Worship in Moscow

A punk rock group with an obscene name raided Holy Communion in a Russian Orthodox Cathedral and engaged in lewd behavior ostensively to protest Vladimir Putin. They were arrested and sentenced to two years in jail. I think that they do deserve jail time for disruption of worship and creating a public disturbance. But, I do think two years is to long a sentence.

Christian refuses to undergo Islamic indoctrination

Tulsa police officer and devout Christian is suing his department after being punished for refusing to go to a mosque for a mandatory cultural event. Police Capt. Paul Campbell Fields, a 17-year veteran, was docked two weeks' pay, transferred, reduced to the graveyard shift and made ineligible for promotions for at least a year, after he told his chief his faith made it impossible for him to attend a "Law Enforcement Appreciation Day" at the Islamic Cultural Society of Tulsa, according to the lawsuit. Fields, 43, is a non-denominational Christian, who quoted Scripture in legal explanation of his insubordination. "This event is compelling me to go to a venue where a group of individuals is prepared to discuss their (Islamic) faith," Fields said during a May 2012 deposition, the transcript of which was obtained by FoxNews.com. "And in my faith, I have a duty to proselytize my faith to people (who) don't subscribe to my faith. I can't do that in uniform. And so therein lies the conflict or moral dilemma I face."

Growing hostility against religious expression in US? Aug 20, 2012 - 2:22 -

A look at what a new report reveals

"Survey of Religious Hostility" by Liberty Institute and Family Research Council see: http://religioushostility.org/

http://video.foxnews.com/v/1795748838001/growing-hostility-against-religious-expression-in-us/?playlist_id=87485&intcmp=obinsite

The joint study from Liberty Institute and the Family Research Council (FRC) records up to 600 incidents of hostility toward religion, most of which have occurred within the last ten years. For example, a Christian couple was fired as apartment complex managers and forced to move because a painting with a Christian reference was displayed in their office (see earlier story). Also listed is a student who was told he could not wear a t-shirt to school because of its Christian message. Liberty Institute attorney Justin Butterfield tells OneNewsNow what his group hopes to accomplish with the study's findings. "We want to raise awareness of the issue. A lot of people think that hostility because of people's religious beliefs and attacks on religious liberty are things that happen elsewhere in the world, not in the United States," he notes. "We just want to show that it actually happens with increasing and alarming regularity here in the United States."
Liberty Institute President Kelly Shackelford and FRC President Tony Perkins are presenting the study before the Republican Party Convention platform committee to raise that awareness.
"It's something that has gone under the radar, and we want to bring it up and point out that this is an issue and a concern that's affecting more and more Americans each year," Butterfield adds.
The Liberty Institute further points out that religious liberty is "facing a relentless onslaught from well-funded and aggressive groups" who are using whatever means available to suppress or attack religious freedom.

SPLC incites violence against Christians: Southern Poverty Law Center's reckless rhetoric linked to FRC shooting‏

We are thankful to God for His gracious hand of protection over the staff of our good friends at the Family Research Council. We applaud security guard Leo Johnson for his heroism and are likewise grateful that he will recover from his wounds. However, this near-tragic incident marks an alarming turn in our cultural battle over values. The left's war on religion and Christianity has now gone from symbolic to literal. As conservatives, we believe that public policy disputes should be resolved through the use of ballots, not bullets, through votes, not violence, through reason, not rage. Last week's shooter, who was a homosexual activist who volunteered at a D.C. lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community center, took the argument to a whole new and ugly level. Disagreement is not hatred. We don't hate anyone. In fact, we love homosexuals enough to tell them the truth about the risks involved in their lifestyle choices. But for those who hate the truth, the truth will seem to be hate. We acknowledge the many homosexual activist groups who issued a statement condemning last week's violence, and we commend them for doing so. However, the Southern Poverty Law Center must be called to account. The SPLC argues incessantly that the use of inflammatory and incendiary language when talking about homosexuality promotes violence, and is quick to blame FRC and other organizations such as AFA for every act of violence they possibly can. Yet the SPLC has consistently used dangerously misguided language in classifying the Family Research Council- with absolutely no foundation- as a "hate" group. They have repeatedly and without cause demonized FRC, and have spent years stirring up anger in the homosexual community and directing that anger toward an organization whose only crime is to promote and defend the classic American values of faith, family and freedom. Thus according to SPLC's own standards, it is the SPLC that is to blame for last week's shooting. We at AFA are blaming the shooter. He must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for endangering the lives of so many innocent Americans. The AP is reporting that he had a box of ammunition and 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches in his backpack, raising the possibility that he intended to leave a Chick-fil-A calling card with each of his victims. But the SPLC, by their own hateful and malicious rhetoric against FRC and AFA, has essentially claimed responsibility for this shooting, and they too should be held to account in the court of public opinion. SPLC claims it only lists organizations as "hate groups" if they engage in the "propagation of known falsehoods" about homosexuality. But the SPLC website itself lists numerous falsehoods about homosexuality. For instance, the SPLC says, without a single shred of proof, that homosexuals are born that way, that it is impossible to leave the gay lifestyle, and that homosexuals are not at elevated risks of depression, anxiety and substance abuse disorders. In other words, if propagating known falsehoods about homosexuality qualifies an organization, then SPLC belongs on its own list. We call on SPLC to explicitly and publicly condemn the motives of last week's shooter, and to remove both FRC and AFA from its hate group map.

Liberal Hate-groups:

The New Black Panther Party: A racist group that freely engages in voter intimidation. They wore military uniforms and carried batons, weapons, outside a voter booth to keep whites and conservative blacks from voting. Attorney General Eric Holder has refused to prosecute them.

RAZA-meaning "the Race" in Spanish. A racist, secessionist organization that plans to break Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and California off from the United States of America and join these states that secede over to Mexico. Obama has given speeches to La-Raza- and has many members of La Raza in his cabinet.

2016

LOS ANGELES – The documentary "2016: Obama's America," which paints a bleak picture of the world should President Obama be re-elected, has been in theaters for a couple of months. But Yahoo! Movies, one of the biggest online movie listings sites, does not list its theaters or showtimes. While its easy to find out when and where the likes of "Expendables 2" and "Sparkle" are playing, in addition to independent films like "Sleepwalk With Me," there are no listings for the Dinesh D'Souza-directed "2016." In fact, Yahoo! Movies appears not to have the documentary listed in its database at all. "I was interested in seeing the new movie, '2016: Obama's America' so I went to Yahoo! Movies as I usually do to find the time and showing. I found that you cannot search for it on Yahoo! Movies," one disgruntled moviegoer told FOX411's Pop Tarts column. "I checked the movie's site and found out where it was opening on August 24th and so I checked those theaters for that date and it does not show up. Is it possible that Yahoo! is trying to keep people from watching this movie?" Yahoo! Movies did not respond to our request for comment. But the movie's director and producer did. "It is particularly disturbing to see efforts to block this information from reaching the eyes and ears of the American people," D'Souza said. "It's really important to thwart this effort at censorship and regulating the free flow of information in this country. It is part of the American character to question and reject authority when it threatens freedom. I hope every American will reject this sad attempt and watch the movie for themselves and come to their own conclusions."

Dick Cheney's disturbing comments

On August 17, 2012, Sean Hannity had Dick Cheney on his program-on which the former Vice President made several disturbing comments:

  1. He was asked point blank if The Moslem Brotherhood was a terrorist organization-he refused to condemn the Moslem Brotherhood. He said that the Moslem Brotherhood has spawned terrorist organizations, such as Al-Qaida.
  2. When asked if Saudi Arabia was extremist, he began praising King Abdullah as an old and a close personal friend and as a "good man."
  3. When asked if Saudi Arabia is a dictatorship-and specifically bringing up the religious police and the indignities women have to live under-Cheney defended it-saying that it is how the Saudi's wish to live.

This is very disturbing. On the other hand, Cheney said 9-11, with 3,000 Americans killed was not a criminal act-as the Democrats view it-but an act of war. That is true. Cheney was also working with wounded warriors. But obviously, Cheney chooses not to get it when it comes to the ideology of Islamic extremism and the fact that Saudi Arabia is the most dangerous enemy of the United States of America-and mankind in general.

Tod Aiken

Congressman Tod Aiken recently commented that he is opposed to abortion even in the cases of rape and incest-which is also the position of the Roman Catholic Church. His comments were poorly worded and taken out of context and are illustrative of the threat to freedom of speech and freedom of religion that we have in this country. Michael Berry and Rush Limbaugh defended his comments but Rush insinuated that Aiken needed to pull out of the race for US Senate for the greater good. Most people have attacked Congressman Aiken-all he was trying to say is that he is pro-life.

War between Israel and Iran?

Israel has given Mr. Obama until September 25 to take action on Iran's nukes or they will take unilateral action. Israel views Obama as an anti-Semite and as anti-Israel. They feel that he may be re-elected, therefore, they must press for action now while they still have some leverage. After, November 6, if Obama is re-elected, he won't have to worry about facing the electorate again and will show his true anti-Israel colors. Also, "Foreign Affairs" magazine has come out in favor of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons.

Documentary blows the lid off illegal immigration

LAURA INGRAHAM: In the "Personal Story" segment tonight, a new documentary is making waves but not everyone is happy with it. "They Come to America" takes the viewer on an uncomfortable journey, from the rough Mexican border to the mean streets of New York and its leafy suburbs where illegal immigrants take jobs from American workers.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, "THEY COME TO AMERICA")

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The builders that used to hire me and my guys come up here to get the cheap labor and they cut me right out of the picture. Now my taxpaying American citizens aren't paying the bills anymore. Who's paying the bills. These guys? They get their checks and they send it back home.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What are you looking at right over there, those white buildings.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It is a cartel headquarters for distribution of drugs in this area. I will tell you, you go near there, you're dead. You're dead.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You guys do drug cartel.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hold on.

(END VIDEO CLIP, "THEY COME TO AMERICA")

INGRAHAM: But according to the filmmakers, it has been impossible to get the mainstream media's attention. Joining us now from New York is the filmmaker, Dennis Michael Lynch. Dennis, pretty provocative stuff. Not all that surprising to me because I've been covering this issue for many years and interviewed ranchers and property owners and people who've been on the frontlines, border patrol.

But nevertheless, you're not a political guy, right. You're not somebody who's been, you know, lobbying for immigration, amnesty or the other way around for more enforcement. You're just a filmmaker.

DENNIS MICHAEL LYNCH, CREATOR, "THEY COME TO AMERICA": Yes, I'm not political at all. In fact, I'm ashamed of this, I haven't voted in the past 20 years. And when I did vote 20 years ago, I couldn't tell you if I voted for the democrat or the republican. I jumped in this topic just by chance, really. And what I came away finding -- I mean, you're not surprised because you've been in the game, I came away --I cannot believe how bad illegal immigration is and how it is that it's affecting America. And the fact that you don't hear this on television every day. I couldn't believe what I found, Laura.

(INGRAHAM: And the most shocking thing that you discovered in interviewing people at the site of the large illegal crossings all the way to the workforce was what.

LYNCH: Laura, there are more than people who want to come here to cut your lawn, crossing the border. There are people coming here who want to cut your throat. And I'm a guy who was at 9/11 watching it like this. I saw people jumping 80 stories. What makes somebody do that. These are violators. You know, a lot of times, people don't remember that's a part of illegal immigration. I also found people across the country who are afraid to speak about this topic because they get classified as a racist. I found schools closing and, yet, ESL programs for illegals rising up. It makes fundamentally no sense. I know we've got the President giving out work permits to illegal immigrants when we've got 23 million out of work. These people don't want welfare. They want jobs. America is getting crushed with illegal immigration. Crushed. And, yet, it gets tucked under the rug like it's no big deal. It is the number one problem facing our country today and in the years to come whether you realize it or not.

INGRAHAM: I think when you talk to people who really aren't political, they're not aligned with one party or the another, they might vote republican one year and democrat the next. They can't figure out why the United States of America, with all of her technology and all of her will and all of her brain power, can't enforce the border. And my answer to them is always because there's been an unholy alliance between the left and the right for many years not to enforce the border or to look the other way oftentimes.

LYNCH: Laura, everybody's guilty here. This is not a blue or red problem. This is an American problem, OK. We've got people crossing our borders. We've got people taking jobs and undercutting Americans. And we just don't seem to care. And I'll tell you what. There are people who care. There are millions of people watching you tonight saying, "Thank goodness. Somebody is finally telling the real story." If they go to theycometoamerica.com and order the DVD, Laura, I send them three because I want them to take the other two and send them out to a swing state or I want them to take somebody who doesn't think that illegal immigration is the problem it is. I will not stop this fight, Laura, until everybody knows about the film.

INGRAHAM: Mr. Lynch, we appreciate it, shut out by the mainstream media.
