Jesus Goes into Hiding

And Jesus departed from there and hid himself from them (John 8:59).

And from there he arose, and went into the region of Tyre and Sidon in Lebanon, and there he entered into a house, and would have no man know it, but he could not remain hidden.  For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet. The woman was a gentile, Lebanese by nationality; and she besought him that he would cast out the devil out of her daughter.  And the disciples asked Jesus to send her away, saying, "Send this gentile dog away from us!" But Jesus said unto her, "Let the children first be fed, for it is not right to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs."  And she answered and said unto him, "Yes, Lord and yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs."  And he said unto her, "For this saying, go your way; the devil is gone out of your daughter."  And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed and well. Judas said, "Why have you used your miraculous power for a gentile? Did you not say, "Do not give what is holy unto dogs nor cast your pearls before swine"?" Jesus replied, "You have heard my words but you did not catch their meaning. Remember that John said that all flesh will see the salvation of the Lord."(Luke 3:6, Isaiah 40:5).

Jesus walked no more openly in Judea but went out to a region near to the wilderness, into a place called Ephraim, and there he continued with his disciples (John 11:54).
